What's been happening?

January - March, 2012

• 9,549 items circulated.

• K-2 students participated in the NC Children's Book Award contest.  Our students selected "The Book that Eats People" as their favorite book; and it ultimately was selected as the favorite among all of the NC students!
• NC Children's Book Awards titles are very popular.
• Dr. Seuss books were a hit as children celebrated the anniversary of his birth. 
• Anything "princess," "Fly Guy," or "super hero" was a hit!
• Fiction favorites included:  Stormbreaker (the Alex Rider series), the 39 Clues series and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. 
• Beginning chapter book favorites include:  anything Junie B. Jones, The Magic Treehouse, and Weird School.

Geronimo Stilton & Thea are rarely on the shelves!
